The Black Cauldron was an unexpected highlight of our food & beverage stops in Nelson. My husband and I popped in for a cheeky cocktail after dinner, and were completely blown away by the craftsmanship behind the signature menu. I've never had such a hard time choosing a drink—and when I told our server I wanted about five of them, she took a few quick descriptors of what I was craving and nailed the perfect recommendation. Both cocktails were a solid 10/10. Erika, the brilliant mixologist behind the program (and our bartender that night), left me genuinely impressed. Every sip was a journey—bright, fruit-forward notes upfront, finishing with a beautifully balanced rhubarb bitterness. It’s rare to find that level of mastery in a cocktail. The ambience only amplified the experience: vibrant yet soothing decor, perfectly curated music, and house-made chips and dip so good we basically sat in blissful silence, savouring every bite and sip. As I said walking out, it was probably the most enjoyable 45 minutes I've ever spent in an establishment! Kudos.

We found this place by chance and what a find. Great food, the food was really tasty, well done and presented nicely. The atmosphere of the place is great, we sat outside and it was nice and cosy. They make great cocktails that go great with the food they make. A stop to be made in Nelson and enjoy this gem.

WOW! What an incredible place! First things first, Avianna is a delight. She recommended platters, substitutions, drinks, everything. She was absolutely lovely. The restaurant itself is incredibly aesthetic, just all around beautiful and unique. Very "witchy" vibes in the best possible way. Also! As someone who doesn't eat pork, it was really nice to be able to eat somewhere that does mostly charcuterie boards. Those are standardly a lot of pork-based proteins, but here, they had a delightful selection of alternatives. And the cocktails??? AMAZING. and the mocktails? Guess what. ALSO AMAZING. And Avianna if youre reading this, thank you for charging my phone. (I left the charger behind by accident you can keep it) And for putting up with my super hammered friend. He was thrilled by your ghost stories!

Great experience and friendly staff. We stopped in for a drink. Ended up eating, and have no regrets. The food was well done, flavors, textures and appearance all fantasic. Drinks were an experience and I was not upset about the price given the show with it. Fun experience and great concept.

Such a funky little gem. They specialize in charcuterie boards. We got the party for 2, which gives you a bit of everything. The servers were super friendly. I'd highly recommend it.

The energy and vibe of the inside was great it was very unique with the chairs and the lightning. Cocktails are very well made and the staff was super friendly. Sneaky good little spot

Fantastic Restaurant! One of the best hitting Burgers I've had in a long while. The charcuterie boards are delicious and full. Drinks and Elixirs hit the spot. Great atmosphere, vibe and music and excellent service. Will definitely be back.
